Fractionated Fatty Acids

Fractionated fatty acids are typically obtained from natural palm /palm kernel oils and fats and are derived through the process of fractional distillation, where a mixed fatty acid stream is separated based on the differing boiling points of its individual components. This method allows for the isolation of specific fatty acid chain lengths, such as short-, medium-, or long-chain fatty acids for specialized industrial or consumer applications.
Applications:
Caproic Acid (KORTACID 0699), Caprylic Acid (KORTACID 0899), Capric Acid (KORTACID 1099) :

Medium-chain fatty acids ideal for MCT production.

Lauric Acid (KORTACID 1299) :

Widely used in soaps and detergents.

Myristic, Palmitic, and Stearic Acids (KORTACID C14–C18) :

Used in candles, cosmetics, and lubricants.

Distilled Fatty Acid

Distilled fatty acids are purified through high-temperature vacuum distillation, removing impurities and delivering a product with uniform chain length and high clarity. These fatty acids serve as raw materials in a wide range of industries including soaps, detergents, rubber, plastics, and personal care.
Applications:
Distilled Palm Fatty Acid (KORTACID PZO5/PS15) :

is produced from palm oil or palm stearin and consists mainly of C16 (palmitic) and C18 (stearic and oleic) fatty acids. It is typically used in Soap detergent manufacturing, rubber/plastic processing.

Distilled Palm Kernel Fatty Acid (KORTACID PK50) :

is derived from palm kernel oil and is rich in medium-chain fatty acids, predominantly C12 (lauric acid) and C14 (myristic acid). It is widely used in soap/ personal care products, cosmetic/surfactants and industrial cleaners and lubricants

Distilled C12–C18 Fatty Acid (KORTACID PKGH) :

is a tailored fatty acid blend containing medium- to long-chain fatty acids (C12 to C18), offering a balanced composition suitable for applications requiring both lauric and non-lauric content. Common uses include textile auxiliaries / emulsifiers, metalworking fluids and plastic additives and stabilizers
